Today, JetBlue Airways released a short documentary-style film featuring Maria Duffy, Annual Giving Manager for The Children’s Room, the leading child bereavement organization in Massachusetts. The film highlights Maria’s journey in running the virtual Boston Marathon in memory of her mom, Paula, and the unexpected visit on the long 26.2 mile run by her best friend from San Francisco, courtesy of JetBlue.
Maria’s mom died in 2010 and since then Maria has run as a way to cope with the loss. Maria understands that grief is a lifelong process and wholeheartedly believes in The Children’s Room’s mission that no child, teen, or family should grieve alone.
