We strengthen our community by identifying partners who support our mission to help grieving children, teens and families. AseraCare is one of our newest collaborations that has been a great connection.
When we first met Kristen Megerian, Social Services Coordinator from AseraCare Hospice, we knew that it was the start of a great collaboration. Kristen had heard of our program and knew about Phyllis Silverman, one of our founding board members and a thought leader on child bereavement. Kristen was so impressed by our program, that she asked AseraCare to support our programs. To date, AseraCare has donated $2,500. We hope to continue our partnership with trainings as well as bringing our Teen Performance Troupe to their community.
The Children’s Room accomplishes so much with a small staff because we have great collaboration and teamwork in the community, so if you know of an organization that cares about children, teens and families, please introduce them to us. In particular, please invite them to a Tour and Tell. That’s how it all starts!

We welcomed them to our Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors and were so honored for their kind words and enthusiasm for our program.
