LISTEN to a recording of Monday’s WBUR Radio Boston program on how to talk with children about Newtown’s tragic school shooting.

Deborah Rivlin, Director of Education & Training at The Children’s Room, took part in an expert panel Monday afternoon on Radio Boston – WBUR 90.9, Boston’s NPR news station. Listen to the recorded program to hear strategies on how to talk to your kids about the shooting at Newtown’s Sandy Hook Elementary School, as well as how families and schools can cope with the trauma, pain, and questions raised by acts of extreme violence.

Also participating on the panel was Wendy Price – past president of the Massachusetts School Psychologists Association, Mass. delegate to the National Association of School Psychologists, and a practicing school psychologist at a high school in the South Shore; and John Palfrey, head of Phillips Academy in Andover.
