What’s Ahead This Fall: Family Nights and Teen Events at TCR
This fall, families and teens at TCR will have opportunities to connect, create, and spend meaningful time together. Our once-a-month Family Nights and Teen Events are designed to support families who are grieving by creating spaces for connection, reflection, and community.
Family Nights
Family Nights are creative, arts-based evenings where children, teens, and caregivers come together online. Each family receives a packet of art materials ahead of time, and during the session (hosted by TCR via Zoom) they create side by side at home, while also sharing memories and reflections with others. These nights provide a gentle rhythm of welcome, creativity, and closing that helps families feel connected and supported, even across distance.
- Sept 30 – Memory Boxes: Create a special box to hold memories and keepsakes.
- Oct 21 – Creating Safe Spaces: Design a personal space of comfort and security.
- Nov 14 – Box of Hope: Build a project that represents hope and resilience.
- Dec 19 – Holiday Lights: Create holiday lights that brighten the season with meaning.
Teen Events
Teen Events give young people a chance to step away from their daily routines and be with peers who understand what it means to grieve. These evenings focus less on structured support and more on building friendships and sharing fun experiences together—whether it’s through games, outings, or creative activities. Teens consistently tell us these events help them feel less alone.
- Oct 17 – Game Night: Games, music, pizza, and glow-in-the-dark fun at TCR.
We’re excited for all that’s ahead this fall and grateful for the chance to create spaces where families and teens feel supported and connected.
