B.A.A. Virtual 5K
Please support our Miles & Memories Boston Marathon alumni as they band together to help us raise critical funds for The Children’s Room! They are each running the B.A.A. Virtual 5K over Patriots Day weekend, April 16 – 18, 2021, with a total goal of $100,000. We are so proud of each of them and grateful for their neverending support of our work.
The Boston Athletic Association announced that the 2021 Boston Marathon will be held on Monday, October 11th, should the pandemic be under control by then. There is still a lot of uncertainty around whether or not they will be able to have the race at all, let alone allow charity runners to participate. The October 11th date also lands outside of The Children’s Room fiscal year which will end on September 30th, 2021. Our marathon fundraising budget of $100,000 accounts for close to 9% of our overall revenue, and therefore is crucial to keeping our programs funded.
