Welcoming Our New Board Members
At The Children’s Room, we know that our work is sustained not only by the families who walk through our doors, but also by the dedicated community of leaders who believe in our mission. This fall, we are honored to welcome four new members to our Board of Directors Evan Dangel, Sarah Haseley, Dr. Nadja Lopez, and Sean Riley.
Each of them brings a unique perspective, whether through professional expertise, personal experience, or a deep commitment to community, that will strengthen our shared vision: ensuring that no child, teen, or family has to grieve alone.
Evan Dangel
Managing Director and Private Wealth Advisor, Morgan Stanley
For more than 25 years, Evan has guided families through philanthropy, estate planning, and investment strategy. A Boston native, he is also deeply committed to giving back, supporting local organizations close to his family. Evan’s leadership and focus on legacy will bring valuable insight to TCR’s long-term vision.
Sarah Haseley
Managing Director, PwC
Sarah brings over 15 years of experience in accounting, audit, and consulting, and was introduced to TCR through BoardLead. With roots in Buffalo and nearly two decades in Boston, she has a strong commitment to organizations that foster belonging and resilience. Sarah is eager to use her skills to strengthen TCR’s financial and strategic future.
Dr. Nadja Lopez
Executive Director, Center for Behavioral Health, Equity, and Leadership in Schools, William James College
A nationally recognized child psychologist, Dr. Lopez has spent her career advancing youth mental health through research, clinical work, and systems change. Her focus on culturally responsive care and equity aligns deeply with TCR’s values. She joins the Board with both professional expertise and personal conviction that every young person deserves access to quality support.
Sean Riley
President and Founder, Mortgage Equity Partners
Sean leads a multi-state mortgage banking firm and has nearly two decades of leadership in finance. His connection to TCR, however, is deeply personal. After the death of his wife in 2013, Sean and his children participated in TCR programs. He knows firsthand the difference community support makes for grieving families, and he brings that lived experience into his leadership.
Together, Evan, Sarah, Nadja, and Sean embody the values of leadership, compassion, and commitment to community. We are grateful for their willingness to share their time, talents, and voices in service to grieving children, teens, and families.
