Helping Our Children & Teens Cope with Stressful Life Events

This presentation and interactive discussion will give parents, educators, and other concerned adults practical information about how children and teens understand and cope with loss. Participants will learn developmentally appropriate strategies and language to help children understand significant losses such as death, divorce, and illness.

Caring adults can make a significant difference, by validating and respecting children’s feelings, and helping them develop coping skills that will serve them throughout their lifetime.
